Welcome July!

As we step into July, we also enter the biblical month of Av (beginning later in the month on the Hebrew calendar).

Av is one of the most paradoxical months in Scripture. It carries the memory of great sorrow, yet it also carries the promise that God can transform mourning into hope. It reminds us that what is surrendered to God can become the birthplace of restoration.

This is a month to stop striving and be still enough to listen.

Don’t fear what appears to be ending. Endings are the Lord’s way of making room for what He ordained from the beginning.

Some doors are closing because their assignment is complete.

Some relationships are shifting because your season has changed.

Some comforts are being removed because He is calling you deeper into greater dependence of His voice so that He can bring you higher.

This month, ask the Lord to show you what must be released so that what is eternal can remain.

False foundations will be shaken; not to destroy but to establish what cannot be moved.

What was meant to mark you with grief will instead become the testimony of God’s faithfulness.

May this month become one where sorrow gives way to strength…

where weariness gives way to worship…

where uncertainty gives way to unwavering trust…

where the Lord turns lament into legacy and prepares His people for the harvest that follows faithful obedience.
