Welcome August! Elul is drawing near…
AUGUST: PREPARE YOUR HEART… ELUL IS DRAWING NEAR ❤️🔥🕊️
In just a few weeks, we will enter the Hebrew month of Elul…the final month on God’s biblical calendar before the Fall Feasts and the beginning of a new year.
Elul is more than a date on the calendar.
It is Heaven’s invitation to prepare for what is coming.
Throughout this sacred season, the shofar is sounded each day as a wake-up call to the people of God.
It is a trumpet of mercy before it is a trumpet of judgment, calling hearts back to intimacy, repentance, humility, and wholehearted devotion.
This is the month to slow down…
To search your heart…
To forgive quickly…
To release old offenses…
To restore broken altars…
To quiet the noise…
And to make room for the Voice and Wind of the Holy Spirit once again.
The ancient rabbis described Elul with the phrase: “The King is in the field.”
What a beautiful picture.
The King is extending an invitation to draw near before He calls His people into the appointed times of remembrance, awakening, and celebration.
August is a month of preparation.
Don’t wait until the new year to seek His Face. Let preparation begin now. The breakthroughs of tomorrow are birthed in the consecration of today.
Some things must be laid down before new things can be received.
Some voices must become silent before His voice can be heard clearly.
Some pruning must take place before greater fruit can emerge.
This is not a season to strive.
It is a season to surrender.
Not to perform…But to abide.
May this month become a sacred place where your heart is softened, your vision is clarified, your first love is rekindled so that your ears can become increasingly sensitive to the ‘whisper’ of the Spirit.
The Bride prepares herself because she knows the Bridegroom is near.
So let August become your place of preparation…
Your secret place of communion.
Your season of holy alignment.
Your invitation to return.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart… Lead me in the everlasting way.” - Psalm 139:23–24
I declare that this month will not simply change your calendar, it will transform your heart.
May the Lord prepare you in the hidden place for the glory He has already prepared for you and May the sound of Heaven awaken every sleeping place within us as we prepare our hearts for the days ahead.
